2 New2 Improved- New Your own GIFs: upload a GIF, an animated PNG or a WebP; upload a video and its first 15 seconds become a GIF. They wait for you in the picker's My GIFs tab in every chat. Like a custom GIF someone sent? Save it to your library with its star. Manage them all in Settings > My GIFs.
- New Server GIFs: every server can have its own GIF library. Admins, and roles given "Manage server GIFs", upload GIFs or add their own in Server settings > GIFs. Members send them from the picker's Server tab. Admins can also allow only the server's own GIFs.
- Improved Star GIFs you find in Discover to keep them under Favorites. The picker opens on the tab you used last.
- Improved GIFs now play only while they are on screen and pause when you scroll past or leave the app, which is easier on your device. Turn off "Play GIFs automatically" in Settings > Appearance and GIFs show a still frame until you hover or tap.

2 New1 Improved1 Fixed- New Join requests: instead of letting everyone with an invite straight in, you can approve new members. People answer your questions and ask to join; they get in once you, an admin, or a role you gave "Review applications" approves. Until then they cannot see any channel. Turn it on in Settings > Applications.
- New Announcements made with @everyone now reach members whose app is closed, as a phone notification. Mentions in notifications show names instead of codes.
- Improved Roles now have an "Anyone can mention this role" switch. With it off, only people allowed to mention @everyone can notify that role. @here now follows the same permission.
- Fixed Fixed the automatic translation setting sometimes failing to load and looking switched off. On iPhone and iPad, when the chosen microphone cannot be used because Bluetooth headphones are connected, we now tell you why.

1 New- New Automatic translation: messages written in another language now show in yours, with the original one click away. 37 languages are supported. Translation runs on Void's own servers; your messages are not sent to any other company. You can turn it off or pick the language in Settings > Language.

5 Fixed- Fixed Joining a voice channel while muted no longer opens your mic, even for a moment. Before, you could be heard for about a second while the call connected.
- Fixed Your voice is now sent with the "Voice" profile that Settings shows as selected. It was shown but not applied, so on some servers voice used far more data than needed, which could cause stutter on weak connections. For high quality, the "Music" profile now uses the best quality the server allows.
- Fixed Joining a voice channel no longer fails, or leaves someone unheard, when a person starts talking or leaves at that exact moment.
- Fixed If reconnecting after a dropout fails once, you are no longer stuck on a microphone error screen: it retries on its own.
- Fixed Unplugging your mic or headset mid-call no longer leaves you unheard: Void switches to your other microphone on its own.

1 Fixed- Fixed When a sharer's connection slows down, viewers no longer get a stutter every minute. The share kept retrying top quality and every retry froze viewers briefly; now it stays at a smooth quality while the connection cannot keep up, and retries are invisible to viewers.

1 Improved1 Fixed- Fixed Game streams no longer stutter for viewers. The top quality of a share could only use part of the connection set aside for it and skipped frames in busy scenes; it now gets its full share.
- Improved When your connection or computer cannot keep up with the top quality, your share steps down one level and stays smooth instead of stuttering, then climbs back on its own when things ease.

3 Fixed- Fixed Screen sharing on Windows should no longer freeze while you game. Heavy games could fill the graphics card and drop a share to one frame per second; Void now keeps its share of the graphics card while you share.
- Fixed Watching a share no longer gets needlessly blurry. Auto quality never picks the lowest level, and it stops switching back and forth as the window resizes.
- Fixed Fixed the app constantly renewing its sign-in in the background when the computer clock was set wrong.

3 Improved3 Fixed- Fixed Noise suppression actually works again. It looked switched on but was doing nothing to your audio; typing, fans and background hum are genuinely filtered once more.
- Improved Screen sharing is much smoother. You can now say whether you care more about smoothness or clarity, and the problem that turned shares into a slideshow is fixed.
- Fixed A voice note you start can now be stopped. In both direct messages and groups, recording could not be ended once it had begun.
- Improved When your microphone cannot start, you now get a message explaining what to do, instead of the browser's raw error text.
- Improved Security hardening: links open outward more safely, and server role permissions can no longer hand out more than the person granting them holds.
- Fixed Fixed a bug that could stop the whole app from working in certain situations.

- Improved What happened while the app was closed no longer vanishes: unread and mention badges show the moment you open Void, and clicking one lands you in the right channel.
- Fixed When something goes wrong you now see a real error with a Retry button instead of a blank or misleading empty screen, across messages, friends, servers, and a dozen more views.
- Improved Everything a finger could not reach on the phone is now reachable: long-press someone in a voice room for volume and moderation, conversations grew a back button, and overflowing popovers fit the screen.
- Improved The app finally speaks one language everywhere: message tools, the schedule and forward dialogs, call screens, and even dates follow your app language.
- Fixed Void no longer keeps your machine busy while idle: background animation stops completely, the unused audio device is handed back, and timers that span with nothing to do are switched off.
- Improved Release notes work again. This window had gone quiet for a few versions; you can read what you missed under What's New in the "?" menu.
